Our structural engineering consultancy story
Built on experience. Focused on clarity
LinearPoint was founded by two Chartered structural engineers based in London. The company was founded on a simple idea: structural engineering should be clear, practical and genuinely collaborative and not something clients have to decode.
Between us, we have spent decades delivering residential and commercial projects — from single-storey extensions to complex basements and multi-unit developments. That experience shaped why we set out to do things differently: faster, clearer and more collaborative, without compromising on technical quality.
Our approach starts with listening — to the client, and to the architect's design intent and the ideas already shaping the project. We take on board the details that matter, from how the building is meant to look and function to how it will actually be constructed, so the solutions we develop are genuinely buildable on site, not just correct on paper. We combine strong technical engineering with practical construction knowledge, clear communication and direct client involvement. Our directors remain closely involved in every project, working to identify structural and construction risks early, before they become costly problems later on.
Today, we work with homeowners, architects, developers and contractors, giving every client direct access to experienced engineers throughout their project — from the first line to the last point.

Eleni Price
Co-Founder & Managing Director
BEng (Hons) MSc CEng FICE
Eleni is a Chartered Engineer, CEng FICE, with over 19 years' experience in structural engineering consultancy across residential and commercial projects in London and the South East. Her work spans the assessment, refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings, extensions, basements and underpinning, temporary works, structural investigations and new build residential design, including basement schemes up to approximately 10 metres deep on tightly constrained sites.
She trained at the University of Wales, Cardiff, completing a BEng (Hons) in Architectural Engineering followed by an MSc in Civil Engineering, before spending thirteen years in a structural engineering consultancy, progressing from Junior Engineer through to Associate Director. In 2026 she co-founded LinearPoint Consulting Engineers, with the aim of delivering structural engineering that is clearer, faster and more genuinely collaborative, without ever compromising on technical quality.
Eleni led the structural design on Hempton House, a full width, full depth basement beneath an existing Victorian property, shortlisted for the ICE London Team of the Year 2025. Her project experience also includes a two storey, approximately 10m deep basement in Knightsbridge, and several full residential refurbishments across London combining basements, extensions and loft conversions.
Alongside her project work, Eleni is committed to developing the next generation of engineers, mentoring graduate engineers and reviewing Chartered Professional Reviews for the ICE. She was named winner of the ICE STEM Ambassador of the Year 2025, and is a finalist for the IWCE STEM Champion title.

Philip Henry
Co-Founder & Managing Director
MEng CEng MICE
Phil is a Chartered Engineer, CEng MICE, and although he doesn't look a day over 30, he actually has over 25 years' experience in structural engineering consultancy across residential and commercial projects. His work spans the assessment, refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings, extensions, basement extensions and underpinning, temporary works, structural investigations and new build residential design, including basement schemes up to approximately 10 metres deep on constrained sites.
He trained at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, completing an MEng in Civil Engineering, before spending over two decades in a structural engineering consultancy, progressing from Design Engineer through Senior Engineer, Associate Director and ultimately Technical Director. In 2026 he co-founded LinearPoint Consulting Engineers, with the aim of delivering structural engineering that is clearer, faster and more genuinely collaborative, without ever compromising on technical quality.
Phil's project experience includes full width, full depth basement schemes on constrained London sites, among them a riverside property presenting significant groundwater and tidal constraints on a pair of residential properties, a football pitch-sized basement extension in the prime London area of Holland Park. Earlier in his career he worked on major structures including a landmark visitor bridge at the Palace of Westminster and a large sports centre at the University of Hertfordshire, and Knowsley Printworks, projects both involving large span steel truss design.
